Fees & Billing
We believe in complete transparency around costs. We'll always confirm your entitlements and fees before your appointment so there are no surprises.
MEDICARE REBATE
All our consultations are eligible for a medicare rebate. After your appointment, you can claim a Medicare rebate for the consultation fee directly through the Medicare app, myGov, or at a Medicare service centre. We provide you with an itemised receipt with all the details needed to lodge your claim. Most patients receive their rebate within 1–2 business days.

Your initial consultation is a comprehensive eye examination typically 45-60 minutes, covering your full vision assessment, ocular health, and prescription glasses if required. We come fully equipped to your home, so the experience is identical to a clinic visit, just far more convenient.

A subsequent consultation is a focused review appointment, typically for patients we have seen before, or for monitoring a known eye condition such as glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, or macular degeneration. These appointments are usually shorter than an initial consultation and tailored to what needs to be reviewed.

We Eye Care provides regular scheduled visits to residential aged care facilities, seeing multiple residents on-site in a single visit. All consultations are bulk billed directly to Medicare. Residents and their families pay nothing for the eye examination. There is no call-out fee for aged care facility visits.

We Eye Care welcomes NDIS participants across all management types. Eye care services and prescription eyewear can be funded under your NDIS plan depending on your goals and support categories. We provide fully itemised invoices and work directly with plan managers to make the process as smooth as possible.
